Clear communication and culturally responsive care
Linda Garcia, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with a decade of clinical experience across outpatient, inpatient, surgical, and neurology care. Her background also includes medical interpretation and experience in clinical nutrition, giving her a broad perspective on the communication, lifestyle, and care-coordination needs that can influence a patient's health.
Originally from Colombia, Linda is passionate about reducing language barriers and helping Spanish-speaking patients receive care that feels clear, respectful, and culturally responsive. She began her healthcare career as a certified medical interpreter in Athens, Georgia, and later worked in clinical nutrition in Atlanta, supporting Hispanic families as they navigated medical care.
Linda earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia. During her training, she supported Hispanic and Latino communities through volunteer work, community health initiatives, and medical missions in Latin America.
At Kosius, Linda will provide virtual care in English and Spanish. Her areas of focus will include medical weight management, general telehealth consultations, travel-related medical support, medication follow-up, and nutrition-informed lifestyle care.
Linda believes patients deserve to understand their care and feel comfortable asking questions. She uses thoughtful listening, clear communication, and shared decision-making to help each patient understand their options and develop a care plan based on their health history, goals, values, and individual circumstances.
